This site is designed to aid member museums and others interested in railway preservation.

Railways played a key role in the development of communities across the United States and Canada. Railway museums large and small across North America interpret this exciting and pivotal history. And the Association of Railway Museums helps these museums exchange information with each other and improve professional standards.

ADVOCACY NEWS

If you were unable to attend AAM Advocacy Day February 27-28, 2012, in Washington, DC, you can still advocate for increased funding for transportation museums.

What can you do?

Invite your members of Congress to visit your museum when they are back in their districts. Let them see for themselves how your museum enhances education and tourism locally.

Make sure your members of Congress know the economic value your museum brings to your community. Contact the ARM office for economic data on ARM member railway museums.

Join the American Association of Museums for up-to-date information on funding and Advocacy Alerts.
